Welcome to Busy Crow Studio Postcards! Did you know that deltiology is the official name for collecting postcards? And, postcards might be one of the top three collectible hobbies (next to stamp and coin collecting!) It's one of the only ways you can share a great piece of art with someone for under 30 cents (USA), and further away for only a bit more! Postcard designs offered here are also available as regular Greeting Cards at my Zazzle shop!

Postcard Story Swap - #1, 2 and 3 Received
This fun swap consisted of sending three cards to your partner, and writing a three-part story that matched the image on the card. This is the hilarious story my swap partner sent:
Card 1: "After 33 years in the schoolhouse, teachin' the three R's to squirming younguns, Miss Karen finally hung up her learning lasso, which she used to hog-tie reluctant learners to their desks, and headed west to Burns, Oregon, in answer to a Help Wanted ad in the Ranchhand Review....
Card 2: Three weeks into her new job on the cattle ranch, sweaty, smokey, and saddle-sore, Miss Karen finally had the Beef Branding Code seared into her memory:
3 legged cows = Tri Tip
2 legged cows = Lean Beaf
1 legged cows = Steak
0 legged cows = Ground Beef
English Cows = Sir-Loin
Not entirely content, she still had a burr in her britches....
Card 3: Under the next full moon, Miss Karen high-tailed it off the prairie, pausing briefly to telegraph her twin sister and three-headed cousin, to meet her at the Barnum and Bailey Circus try-outs. The rest is history!

Native American Postcard Swap - Received
This wonderful card was sent to me by swap partner Barbara; it is a picture of Chumash Rock Art. She included this interesting information on the reverse:
"Chumash myth says the sun carries a torch of tightly rolled bark to light the world. After the sun's daily journey, he snaps his torch to throw sparks which are the stars. ..."
